Let's just get this out of the way...

Yes. A new video. So cookies 4 u!

It's been a long time, yowzers. I have a million ideas for machinimas, but between attempting to RP on Wyrmrest Accord, school, and a million other excuses that are aimed to not make me seem lazy, I just haven't gotten around to making a new one. But, you know how it is... you're talking to some other gnome about your time as an anatomy professor in Gnomeregan... two more gnomes show up with some gadgets... another gnome shows up and invites us to a party at the Stormwind lighthouse with like 5 other gnomes... and... well... you just have to make a movie.

If anyone out there 1. Likes my movies 2. Reads this blog 3. Is not already RP'ing -I highly recommend just trying it out! If youre like me, you enjoy the lore but may find jumping into RP totally overwhelming... Im telling you dont worry! It is so much fun... especially for me, since I really dont like being at level cap... hate redoing to same dungeon/battleground/[insert token or currency] farming. Seriously, you don't need an elaborate, intriguing background story to get into RP... honestly, most of the fun is the people you run into. Just come up with a cookie cutter, lore-respecting story (youre a human... veteran of the Northrend campaigns... did some militia work in Westfall... not that religious... interested in adventuring... you hate orcs... love gnomes... you have a brother name Floyd... yada yada yada) and boom, youre a standard character who can walk around and interact with more elaborate characters without ruining people's immersion. Youll find people are really friendly, especially if you tell them youre an RP beginner and would like to get your feet wet... there are a ton of people who are willing to help. Even the guilds are extremely helpful... you can log in like once a week... participate in a little dialogue here and there... and thats it. RP guilds arent concerned with progression as much as they are fostering RP habits... sooooo, Im rambling and theres probably like 5 people who read this anyway :P so Ill just leave it at this: Try out RP. You dont even have to be level cap to enjoy the best RP has to offer. Just dont be a vampire robot.

That' what Emerald Dreams are made of.

Ok, so I've been gone awhile. What of it?! HUH?! Whaaat?!

Anyways, I feel a bit rusty... machinimally speaking. So I'm working on a vid to warmup to. It's of the Emerald Dream. I was just thinking... Malfurion and all the sleeping druids are pretty much total hardcore. In any other war, you have veterans. The Second War, the outland campaigns, etc. And they're always portrayed as tough. Theyve seen countless battles... yet were able to rest in between skirmishes. The battles being waged within the Dream, on the other hand, are relentless. It is a nightmare the sleeping druids cannot wake up from. Until they figure out how to wake up, they fight a neverending battle. I don't care, thats tough. Non stop battle? When these druids awaken, they will be THE heroes of the world. It will be their experience everyone turns to. NON STOP BATTLE! WHAAAAT!

Not to mention they probably are fighting the entire might of a corrupted Green Dragonflight as well as the Nightmare. Yeesh.

So, they video is like sleeping druids coming to the aid of Malfurion in the Emerald Dream... plus motorcycles.  ok?

something wicked this way comes...

Oh, Life on the outside ain't what it used to be.
Y'know, the world's gone crazy,
and it ain't safe on the streets.
Well, it's a drag, I know,
there's only one place to go.
Baby, back where I come from,
I'm comin' home.

Gilneas Cometh

"My how things have changed, my friend.
The great kings have fallen.
The famed heroes have been forgotten.

And the Grand Alliance squabbles over table scraps.

They have forgotten the strength of humanity.

They have forgotten the viciousness of our spirit.

It is time we remind Azeroth why they once feared man.

Apocalypse Please

My main is a ret pally, and as you may or may not know we received some nice boosts to our class recently. I've just been ret until now because I was tired of wearing pink and lavender healing gear... I wanted to wear red. I wanted to wear black. And I wanted it spikey. But until now, I've never had the pleasure of taking on multiple enemies with ease... AND GRACE. But yeah, so until we get nerfed, I would like to recommend a song to play while you pvp... Apocalypse Please (instrumental) by Muse.

Because I'm not about numbers and stats. Im a machinima maker. When I pvp I want a cinematic, epic feel. So there you have it. Press stop on your linkin park. die. rez. and put this on. thank you.

Made a new movie. Homesick: The Making of a Supervillain. It started out to be just about a gnome who was homesick. I always thought their predicament was horrible. Not to mention, the Alliance goes from one project to the next (Outland, Northrend, etc) without ever helping the gnomes with their homeland. So, the movie was just me thinking how rediclous it was... and the cheery exterior of those little guys must hide some pretty sad stuff. But then, I started thinking about Dr. Doom, for some reason, and realized the gnomes are in a state that's ripe for the rise of supervillains... much like Dr. Doom... with his mixture of science and genius... and MAAAADNESS! Oh well... the ending was supposed to be awesome, but like I said, I didnt realize how full my hard drive was and it was taking a toll on my recording fps, so i just used some static background shots from google with some simple animations. Bah.

But here's a new idea (given wowmodelviewer gets updated since the last patch): GILNEAS! That's right, Gilneas. Much like the Crusade, it has, for some reason, been one of my favorite pieces of lore. I would imagine, that just like Scarlet lore awhile back, I like the lack of information... giving room to dream...

So, imagine Gilneas... one of the strongest of the Human nations coming back. Much like the Crusade, they hate the Alliance, hate the Horde, and hate all non-humans. Except unlike the Crusade, they still hold their kingdom... their royal lineage is intact... they (possibly) have an organized standing army... and they are (possibly) untouched by the plague. Add Worgen to that equation and it equals fun. Much like the Vikings' berserkers, let's say that the Gilneans now maintain regiments of Worgen shocktroops. It's like the Crusade with werewolves. So, um yeah... they finally open their gates to see the world has changed. Their mindset is still stuck in the second war... strong, warring human nations fighting demonic, crazed orcs. Theyd look around and realize they are the bearers of the old way... a banner that men like the Scarlet Crusade could fight under... and that they would bring it old school style... found a New Alliance that was purely Human... uniting the remnants of Stromgarde, Lordaeron, and the sailors of Kul Tiras... and lay waste to the undead and the orcish horde. BUT WITH WEREWOLVES! and damn the dalaraan wizards.
*They're from another time*
*When the kingdoms of men stood strong*
*They remember the old ways.*
*War*
*Destruction*
*Conquest*
*They had lived in isolation*
*Behind the protection of their wall*
*Until now*

How's the pie?

Finished Argent Crusade: Salvation... just my Terminator 4 trailer homage. Some people took it a little too seriously about the mispronunciation of "Tirion"... I think they missed the point, though. In my mind, it's just about letting it take you in and wondering what would happen if... I didn't make it to set of lore-alarms. So enjoy it.
